In costume I have decided to relate my garment to one of the characters in a Rakes Progress. I have chosen to base my garement on Tom's old hag wife, shes an interesting character as she is only in one painting so this makes her kind of mysterios and we dont know alot about her background so I could interprit her in any way I want. She is quite wealthy as that is why Tom marries her because he lost his fotune so her clothes would be higher class.

 

 

 

 

 

I am going to put ruffles and pletes on my garement, experimenting with differnt fabrics.
